Text Starters provides black line masters for 20 lessons, of approximately 15 minutes each, suitable for junior secondary students. These may be used at the start of a lesson while students are getting settled down, or whenever there are a few spare minutes during a lesson

 The texts include fiction, non-fiction, literary and non-literary texts. Each is accompanied by ideas and activities for the teacher.
