The Shorter Shakespeare series is the perfect way to introduce junior secondary students to William Shakespeare. Each plays allows students to experience Shakespeare's language and drama, without the attention and depth of understanding required for study at more senior levels.

Each play is in the original language, with all the major characters and plot elements, but the play is abbreviated by the use of modern linking sections to replace some sub plots - without significantly adversely affecting the impact of the play as a whole

Each play is illustrated with scenes from various productions of the plays.
