Belonging - an area of study provides a wide-ranging textual study of facets of the concept of belonging, with emphasis on:

defining and identifying conceptual meaning

examining the process of representing and communicating meaning within texts

evaluating textual form, structure and language

interpretation of  conceptual links between texts

The text provides detailed analysis , questions and exercises for a broad range of 'belonging' texts. deconstruction of core themes, techniques and stylistic methods provides teachers and students with relevant information that will help them comprehend the different ways in which composers have explored the many complex ideas associated with belonging or not belonging, inclusivity and non-exclusivity, social acceptance or alienation:
